Project Details

Situated in the Gulf of Genoa, the Acquario di Genova is considered the second largest marine park in Europe after L’Oceanagrafic in Valencia, Spain. The Acquario di Genova reproduces a coastal atmosphere in 48 aquariums – four of which are oceanic and have two viewing levels.

RPT designed, fabricated, and installed several of the aquariums and viewing windows using R-Cast™ acrylic, including the Harbor Seal, dolphin, shark, penguin, tropical fish, and sting ray exhibits. In fact, there are so many acrylic windows and tanks inside the original part of the building that it’s a veritable wall of water for visitors to walk through. Additionally, RPT supplied several R-Cast™ cylindrical tanks for the coral exhibits and various fish exhibits.
