Focusing on the Mediterranean Sea and other tropical oceans, the Barcelona Aquarium features marine life from all parts of the globe.

RPT supplied several R-Cast™ acrylic tanks, including an underwater tunnel through the oceanarium. The acrylic tunnel is submerged more than 16 feet (5m) below the surface and is more than 260 feet long (80m), surrounded by nearly 1.2 million gallons (4.5 million liters) of saltwater. As visitors walk through this tunnel, they are given a chance to see two species of sharks, several sting rays, and many fish swimming overhead that are native to the Mediterranean.

RPT also supplied an R-Cast™ acrylic for a bubble-like viewing window in the interactive Delta del Ebro Marshes exhibit. The clear acrylic bubble window allows visitors to stand up from under the marsh exhibit to come eye-to-eye with eels, gilthead bream fish, and striped mullet fish.
