The Tank at the Golden Nugget Casino provides an escape to a tropical environment amidst the desert heat. The recent renovation to the pool area included water-retaining projects that Reynolds Polymer Technology was deeply involved with.

The largest phase of the renovation involved building a 200,000 gallon (nearly 757,000 liter) cylindrical aquarium to be mounted in the center of the swimming pool. This cylindrical aquarium lets swimmers come nose-to-nose with five different species of shark, southern stingrays, and smaller colorful fish – but remained protected behind several inch thick acrylic.

A key feature of this shark tank, however, is that a three-story tall, clear acrylic waterslide tunnels directly through this massive aquarium and dumps riders out in the swimming pool that surrounds the tank.
