Oklahoma Aquarium

The dome room at the Oklahoma Aquarium gets visitors right into a swarm of sharks. The Shark Adventure exhibit is made entirely out of our Highly Engineered Acrylic and consists of two 30-foot long tunnels (9.1m) that lead into a dome room in the middle of the shark tank. The dome room allows for nearly unimpeded views of the sharks swimming overhead and around the room. The room is 20 feet in diameter (6.1m) and lets visitors come tooth-to-nose with the largest bull sharks in captivity, as well as blacktip reef sharks and giant lemon sharks.

The uniqueness of this exhibit is that it is entirely self-supporting. Both the tunnels and the dome room are seamless. Other than the concrete floor, there are no other concrete structures or mullions to support any of the acrylic, thus allowing visitors unfettered viewing of the sharks.
