Playhouse Square in Cleveland, Ohio is showing off their newest outdoor attraction May 2nd. This symbolic chandelier has endured extreme climate tests to ensure its safety and durability. Reynolds Polymer Technology was chosen to supply the acrylic because of its ability to withstand severe ice storms and sun discoloration. R-Cast® acrylic was cut into 4,200 individual crystals to create the stunning centerpiece that hangs 24 feet above the theater district in the Square. The chandelier is 20 feet tall and weighs 8,500 pounds. The steel and aluminum supports the chandelier against wind gusts over 100 miles per hour. Click here for the full story.
